My name is Roman Cavenaugh and I’m kind of an asshole.
Running a company isn’t easy, especially when everyone expects you to fail, so being a jerk? It comes with the territory.
I don’t have time to mess around, and I sure as hell didn’t see her coming.
Cara Hamilton—she was supposed to be off limits…a temporary employee brought in during my assistant’s maternity leave.
But, in the blink of an eye, she became so much more.
An obsession I couldn’t shake.
So yeah, I may be an asshole, but now, I finally had a purpose, and soon, she would be mine.
All’s fair in love and war…

I didn’t read the other books in this particular series of devastatingly handsome Cavenaugh brothers. But this story is about Roman. The older brother. The brother who all his life believed he wasn’t worth much more than a nice body and a pretty face. Years of practice has caused Roman to harden his heart to the point of which he is untouchable; by anyone. He’s shut out his family, friends and the opposite sex. Roman knows his place. He’s the CEO of his father’s business and that is the plan he intends to stick with.
Cara moves across the United States to be with her long time boyfriend. Resolved to make their relationship work, Cara does everything a loving caring girlfriend would do. She takes on a temp assistant assignment to none other than Roman.
Little by little Cara breaks down Roman’s hard interior. I wasn’t a huge fan of Roman in this story. He was a rude arrogant ass at times and even his good looks didn’t help me like him. After a while though, Roman started to grow on me. Cara was super naive and innocent in many ways. She could be a little on the annoying side but with Roman it kind of all fit together nicely.
Of course the happily ever after does not come easy and there was a time that I thought Roman and Cara wouldn’t make it. There is an interesting turn of events that I never saw coming. Will you??

My name is Dixon Crawford—my friends call me Dick.
I’m rich, divorced and I have two small kids.
When it comes to women, I like to play the field. I don’t want to ever be tied down again.
I met Eden at a Presidential gala and, yes, I was intrigued. When school started in September I was shocked to learn Eden was my son’s kindergarten teacher…
I’d slept around with the lonely rich mothers at the school and had earned a reputation.
A reputation Eden knew about…
Eden was on the untouchable list—the band on her finger screamed, “I’m taken.” But when she got into trouble with her husband she asked me for help and I obliged.
I soon discovered that innocent Eden had secrets of her own. I also discovered she was beyond tempting. Giving her a little friendly help turns into something bigger than I ever imagined….
My name is Dick. I’m told I’m an asshole, but you will need to read my story and decide for yourself!

Dick: A Bad Boys Novel by R.C. Stephens
5 out of 5 ‘Is he really a dick?’ Stars
Yes, yes- I was attracted to this book because of the title and then because of the blurb. Dixon, aka Dick, is a single father that’s dealing with his divorce in the only way he knows how- by screwing anything and everything that moves and never more than once. Dick’s path crosses with Eden and things start to change for him. The spark of something different….a path that Dick swore that he would never travel down again.
Eden meets Dick and there’s definitely a mutual attraction but there’s something more between them. Something familiar? But nothing can ever become of it because Eden is fully aware of Dick’s manwhoring ways and Eden is married; unhappily married but married nonetheless. Things start to change in Eden’s relationship with her husband and the more and more she’s around Dick, the more and more she realizes that her marriage is not something that she wants to be a part of.
This book took me by the biggest surprise. I thought I was going to be reading about Dixon’s manwhoring ways and how Eden came into his life and totally changed things for him. That isn’t how things went- at all. There was so much more feeling involved. I enjoyed reading from Dixon’s perspective. It really showed how much of a real person he was; not at all the asshole I was expecting. Ok maybe a little but I really enjoyed this unique story. It’s unlike anything that I’ve read. But the feels definitely caught me out of nowhere. Was not expecting those to pop up! I absolutely recommend Eden and Dixon’s story. It catches you off guard and I can appreciate the realism brought to the story.
